- READ IT: “CHOP’s New Hospital Creates Full Spectrum Of Care In King of Prussia, Pa.“
Nearly 170 years after Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) opened the first dedicated pediatric hospital in the country, the organization built its second inpatient facility, the Middleman Family Pavilion. By leveraging strategic connections between the new 272,000-square-foot facility and the existing outpatient center, the site achieves seamless integration, both functionally and architecturally.
This feature for Healthcare Design explains how CHOP worked with Ballinger—its architect, design and engineering partner—to create a smooth continuum of care while incorporating a bold interior design strategy appropriate for all ages of patients.
