- READ IT: “City of Hope Converts Office Building To Cancer Clinic“
Since its founding near Los Angeles, City of Hope has expanded into one of the largest cancer research and treatment organizations in the U.S. To bring this leading cancer care closer to its growing patient population in Orange County, the institution set out to create a new centrally located outpatient center inside a former commercial office building with the help of architecture firm, ZGF.
This feature for Healthcare Design details how the project team overcame the challenges of a commercial-to-medical building conversion by pulling inspiration from the surrounding landscape to create a calming space for hope and healing.
